What we collect

• Contact and identity details (name, phone, email, address, date of birth, gender, nationality).
• Enrolment and academic records (courses, classes, attendance, assignments, certificates).
• Payment information processed by our providers (Paystack, MTN MoMo, CalBank). We do not store full card details.
• Communications you send us (WhatsApp, email, contact forms) and support tickets.
• Technical data (device, browser, usage) via cookies and analytics — see our Cookie Policy.

Why we use it (legal basis)

To deliver our courses and services (contract), operate and secure the platform and process payments (legitimate interests), send you service and — with your consent — marketing messages, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate (payment processors, email/SMS/WhatsApp providers, hosting and analytics), under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.

Children’s data

Some programmes (e.g. TinkerCAD for Kids) involve minors. Where a participant is a minor, enrolment and consent are provided by a parent or legal guardian, and we limit processing to what is necessary to deliver the programme.

Retention & security

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive credentials, hashed passwords, access controls, and audit logging.

Your rights

Subject to the Act, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and request a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact admin@dsd.edu.gh.

Marketing

You can opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, by replying STOP to WhatsApp/SMS, or by contacting us.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
