This is the engineering that keeps a building standing. While the architect decides what a building looks like, the structural engineer decides what holds it up — the size of every column and beam, and the steel reinforcement inside them. It's not guesswork; get it right and the building is safe. You'll learn to model the structural frame in Autodesk Revit, then use Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis to apply the loads and calculate the forces in every member — checking instantly whether each one passes the code — before bringing the results back into Revit to produce the structural drawings. In short: Revit builds it, Robot proves it stands, Revit documents it. Because the modelling is done in Revit, this course requires a working knowledge of Revit — so we recommend taking Architectural Design first. Structural is a specialist, higher-value skill: fewer professionals can do it, which makes it more bankable. Taught at our Autodesk Authorized Training Center in North Legon, Accra.
