Computer Literacy

Before design software comes basic computer literacy — the everyday skills every office job, course and independent worker takes for granted. This foundation course starts from the very beginning: switching on the machine, finding your files, and working comfortably in Windows. From there it builds the core Microsoft Office tools — Word for documents, Excel for spreadsheets, PowerPoint for presentations — plus using email, browsing the internet safely, and learning from YouTube. No prior experience is assumed; true beginners are welcome. It's the natural starting point for anyone who isn't yet confident with a computer — including before one of DSD's design courses, which build on these skills. Offered in weekday (Mon–Fri) and weekend (Saturdays, 10am) formats. Taught hands-on at our Autodesk Authorized Training Center in North Legon, Accra.
